How to choose a nail course (without being dazzled)

First: how many hours of real practice are there? A programme full of modules can contain very little time with tools in hand. Technique is a movement: you learn it by doing it, with someone correcting you.

Second: who watches your hands? In a large group or a pre-recorded video, nobody sees your mistakes as you make them. Ask how many students there are per teacher and how individual correction works.

Third: what is the certificate worth? Many courses issue certificates of attendance, which are not recognised certifications. That's not a flaw in itself — competence is what counts — but be wary of anyone presenting it as a professional qualification. And always check your region's requirements to practise.

Fourth: what happens after the course? A serious path leaves you with drills to continue, criteria to judge your progress and a contact for questions. The course ends; the practice doesn't.

Fifth: is the price transparent? Watch for costs that appear later: mandatory kits, indispensable "advanced" modules, subscriptions. A clear price with a list of what's included is worth more than a spectacular discount.
